Lars Mikkelsen-3-1024x657Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964, is a Danish actor. He is a Danish actor who been in the role of Troels Hartmann Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was featured in American House of Cards. Apart from his role in The Killing, [1] he also appeared in Borgen III, a Danish drama series that was highly regarded. He also played a pivotal part in the episode of BBC drama Sherlock, where he played blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American television show House of Cards he played the President of Russia. He received an International Emmy Award in 2018 to honor his performance in the Danish TV drama Herrens Veje. The show aired in the UK in the year 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm.
