Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician from England. He was one of the members of One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools Holmes Chapel Comprehensive schools, created a band named White Eskimo together with three of his fellow students. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, they were also a part of the Battle of Bands in the 2010 Battle of Bands. Although he has always had an interest in music, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to be a lawyer or physical therapist. He was employed in a local bakery part-time in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He was chosen. That's why his group split. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge that suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group began in 2010. The five young people were supported by Simon Cowell. The group performed songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to be the winner. However, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid 2,000,000 pounds under a contract with One Direction.
